Blaise C. was borned in Switzerland ,He started drum at 5, playing in the marching drum band of his little town... He really got into it at the age of 14,and started playing with his father's band :Peter ALLEN (R&B,Pop and Latin music), a R&B saxophonist... He played then in a few bands : The happy fools(Ska/rock/ fishbone concept...), Inside Marylin( New York Heavy funk Style). He decided to move to los angeles (to study at the musician institute). This is where he met DOM who just started the band project..Soul tattoo who became later the Walking bees.... My influences are Miles davis,Yousoun'dour, Pfunk all star, Level 42, Livin'Colour, Fishbone, James brown , R&B/Hip Hop... My favorit drummers are Dennis chamber, Mokhtar Samba, Philipe Fisher, Charley Drayton, Will Calhoun, Poogie Bell, Rick Wellman... I use this GMS drum, custom made in NY DC, They are very powerful drums, they fit Jazz, funk and also any heavy style of music. I use Aquarium on my toms,and Zidgane cymbals. My favorite part of these drums is the bass drum, "you have to try em' to believe 'em". I also use triggered sounds on my set with an EMU6600 sampler.
