Dominique was born in Paris, and raised in between northern Africa and France. He got into music early. In his teen years he picked up the electric guitar, acoustic bass, a saxophone, keyboards, and most of all, his voice. He first played the jazz scene in paris but his talents were practiced in a crazy, funky band named FURIOUS. Across Europe and Africa, Furious played to sold out clubs as the funk-child of Pfunk, Fishbone and Prince Š The band broke up, which suited DominiK. He was an individual in every way. At age 21, he moved to London. He was pursuing the idea of crossing a motley of instruments and engineered sounds in a hybrid of R&B and rock/pop. He was in search of a new sound, with cutting beats and groove.
